Choice Application Period is Open Through Feb. 20, 2019

Fayetteville – Hundreds of families explored the halls of E.E. Smith High School Saturday morning to learn about the Choice Programs in Cumberland County Schools (CCS). The morning kicked off with a parent meeting for Albritton Middle School eighth-graders. Then, principals, students and academy directors provided information about all Choice Programs in CCS. Families were able to ask questions and apply to their top choices at the Choice Online Stations located on site. “From world language immersion programs beginning at the elementary school level to
technology and robotics offerings, families were able to explore elementary, middle and high school options available through Cumberland County Schools,” said Melody Chalmers, CCS’
assistant superintendent of District Transformation & Strategic Initiatives. “We’re glad that so many of our families joined us for our Choice Fair. As a system of choice, we have a variety of
programs to meet the academic interests of our students.” The application period for CCS’ Choice Programs is open through February 20, 2019. To learn more about specific programs and how to apply, visit http://choice.ccs.k12.nc.us/.
